“It was obvious to everybody else.”

The Performance (Saturday September 29th, 2007, 7-9PM)

Show time! The audience began to file in. We were surprised – and grateful! – that so many people showed up. We estimate that 70-90 audience members braved the unknown to come to the basement of a church and watch a bunch of strangers put on a play.

The ensemble was nervous, and so was the audience! But we had already exceeded our expectations, and judging from the audience feedback, we were able to provide an entertaining Saturday evening in Denver. After the show the ensemble mingled with the audience, and we expressed our gratitude for their support.

“ I repeatedly used the word 'Hilarious!' when describing the evening to friends. Very creative, wacky, both serious and funny. We look forward to more.”
- Mike (Audience Member)

The audience gave so generously of their time that evening. We also solicited donations, explaining that we had all funded our own travel to attend Speed Theatre in Denver. The response was overwhelming. We used the audience's donations to cover food and some travel expenses. In the future, we hope to achieve financial sustainability through a variety of sources, including income earned from workshops, classes, and performance.

Many audience members were surprised we could create and rehearse a whole show in only 24 hours. They wondered: "How did you do it?" Our response? "It's easy! Come to the workshop tomorrow and we'll show you how!"

“Thank G-d for furniture, that's what I say.”
